Cooper S brakes squealing in the heat
My Cooper S has started making this embarrassing squeal every time I brake lightly, especially when the car has been sitting in the sun for a while. Pulling up to valet at Dubai Mall sounds like an old bus. I've had a look and the pads look like they've got plenty of life left so maybe it's just glazing from the heat or something? I've heard Minis can be sensitive to pad compounds and some cheap ones just don't cope with our temperatures. I don't really want to go to the agency in DFC because they'll probably charge a fortune just to look at it. I'm thinking of just getting them swapped out for something better quality. Anyone know a decent garage that specialises in these cars and can sort a Dubai Mini Cooper brake pad change with good quality parts that won't squeal? Preferably somewhere in Al Quoz that knows their way around the Cooper S.
