Windows suddenly deactivated after update

After the latest Windows update, my system suddenly says it’s not activated anymore, even though it was fine before. The message “Activate Windows” now sits in the corner, and the troubleshooting tool didn’t help. I didn’t change any hardware or reinstall anything. Has anyone else had their license randomly disappear after an update? I’m wondering if it’s a glitch or some verification reset by Microsoft.
