Do you think paying someone to edit your paper is cheating or smart?

Hey guys, curious what you think — is paying someone to edit your paper kind of cheating, or just being smart about it? I’m in college and juggling two part-time jobs, so honestly, I don’t have much time to double-check my essays. I had a friend pay someone to polish her research paper, and it turned out amazing. But now I’m second-guessing if that crosses a line or not. What do you all think?
