How do driving simulators balance realism and fun?

Hi everyone,

I’m curious about how game developers and hobbyists think about realism in driving simulators. Some games focus on physics accuracy, while others add cultural elements, environments, or sounds to make it feel more authentic.

For example, in Bus Simulator Indonesia MOD APK
the streets, vehicles, and even local “Om Telolet Om” horn are included, which makes it feel unique compared to standard simulators.

So my question is:
👉 When building or testing a driving simulator, what matters more — realistic vehicle physics, or creating an immersive environment that feels culturally authentic?
