What is considered a healthy range for working capital ratio, and why should extremely low or high values be avoided?

So I’ve been going over my numbers for the last two quarters, and my accountant pointed out that my working capital ratio dropped below I didn’t even realize it was something I should be tracking that closely. My small distribution business always had ups and downs, but I figured as long as I was making sales and covering payroll, I was good. Apparently not. She said anything under is a red flag for lenders, and even above could mean I’m not using my cash efficiently. I’m kind of stuck between not having enough liquidity and being too conservative. Anyone else had to deal with this? Just trying to figure out what’s actually considered a "safe" range and what to aim for without overthinking it.
