Self-playing or piloting: which to choose?

What is the difference between a standalone game and a service with piloting for Mythic+10? I realize that both options have their pros and cons, but I'm wondering how it affects the game itself and the outcome. For example, if I choose piloting, can I expect more loot or any additional bonuses? And how does such a service affect my experience of the game in general?
