What paperwork do I need to buy a used car?

To buy a used car from Japan auto dealers in Hiroshima, you need key documents. You will need a Certificate of Residence (from your city office), your personal seal (Hanko) and its certificate, and proof of a legal parking space (Shako Shoumei) from the police. You must also have your Driver's License and proof of Compulsory Insurance (JCI). The dealer will help with the car's Vehicle Inspection Certificate and ownership transfer papers.
