API Support

Hi! I have a skylight that opens manually, but I'd like to make it automatic - either with a button or a remote control. I'm wondering what actuators would be suitable and how safe it is. The skylight isn't very heavy, but access is difficult, so I'd like reliable, maintenance-free system. What's best?
